Full production-rate takeoffs, shop drawings, and detailed scopes are produced before a single timber is cut. Scope gaps are solved on paper, protecting your schedule and budget before work begins on your jobsite.
Every Ridgeline timber connection is hand-fitted on site by our own crews. Tighter seams, better structural performance, and a finished result that reflects genuine skill and a standard most in this industry simply cannot reach.
We show up when we say. We stay until the job is 100% complete. Then we return months later to ensure everything holds. No loose ends, no abandoned scopes, no clients left chasing answers after the final invoice.
Ridgeline Log & Timber is Jackson Hole’s timber framing contractor for GCs, architects, and homeowners across Teton County and the Mountain West.
We know what Mountain West projects demand: extreme weather tolerances, tight contractor schedules, buyers who have high standards and zero patience for excuses. Our preconstruction process is how we protect you from the surprises that derail other jobs.
We’re a specialty subcontractor with a defined scope, our own crew, and a full preconstruction package before we touch a single timber. Shop drawings and production-rate takeoffs come first, so your schedule isn’t waiting on us to figure things out in the field.
If your design calls for 200-year-old hand-hewn beams or dimensional Douglas fir from a verified source, we can get it, document where it came from, and cut it to what you drew.
We work directly with homeowners. Tell us what you’re building. We source the material, our own people do the timber framing, and we come back after the job closes to check our work. The crew you meet is the crew that shows up. Your GC and builder run everything else.
Every Ridgeline project follows the same disciplined process from preconstruction intelligence through installation and post-completion follow-up. No surprises. No shortcuts.
We begin every project with full production-rate estimating, takeoffs, and shop drawings. Scope gaps are identified and resolved before they reach the field, protecting the schedule and the budget of everyone involved.
We source genuine reclaimed timber from traceable origins, not new wood stained to look reclaimed. Our team guides clients through material selection with accuracy so the finished product matches the original vision.
Our crews handle off-site fabrication and on-site installation with no subcontracting of labor. Hand-fitted joinery. Consistent presence. 100% scope completion. Then we follow up months after the project closes to ensure our work holds.

Kevin was helpful in finding me what worked best. He was not pushing me toward anything out of my budget. Once we found the best option he gave me a discount. Great company and I will give my business to them in the future.
I recently relocated to Jackson and have many projects I need help with. It was a pleasure to work with Kevin and Cal. They were very helpful on my project and I cannot thank them enough.

Questions We Hear Often
Straight answers on how Ridgeline works with contractors, architects, and homeowners across Jackson Hole and the Mountain West.
Yes. General contractors are who Ridgeline works with most. We run as a specialty subcontractor on high-end residential and commercial projects across Jackson Hole, Star Valley, and Teton Valley, holding structural framing, heavy timber, exterior siding, and reclaimed material scopes under the GC's contract.
Most of our work comes from a short list of GCs who use us project after project. If you're pricing a job and want us on the bid list, send the plans.
Yes. You can buy material from Ridgeline with no install attached — reclaimed timbers and lumber, hand hewn material, new timber packages, siding, trusses, and custom millwork. We deliver throughout Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana, there's will call at our Jackson yard, and we ship outside the region on the right order.
Supply and install are separate decisions. Tell us which you want and we'll price it that way.
Ridgeline is based in Jackson, Wyoming, and has worked in the Mountain West since 1996.
Installed work: Jackson Hole and Teton County Wyoming, Alpine and Star Valley, Teton Valley Idaho including Driggs, Victor, and Tetonia, and the surrounding mountain west resort markets.
Material supply: regional delivery across Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana, will call at the Jackson yard, and nationwide shipping on larger packages or specialty reclaimed lots.
Plan review and constructability feedback, detailed production-rate takeoffs, material recommendations, 3D modeling and shop drawings, value engineering, sequencing and schedule input, and a written scope with explicit inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
We include preconstruction at no charge on projects where the scope is defined and there's a real path to award. Design development beats bid day.
A kit company sells you a package. Ridgeline holds a scope. Our timber, framing, and siding scopes are custom to the drawings on your project, not adapted from a standard plan. We run our own preconstruction, source or mill the material, prefabricate what makes sense in a controlled shop, then bring our own crews and set it — and stay on the job through punch list.
We're not the low bid and don't try to be. Builders use us because the scope gets finished and doesn't come back.
Authentic. Everything Ridgeline sells as reclaimed came out of a real structure — 19th century barns, antique dovetail cabins, industrial warehouses, snow fence, and western corral fence.
We do not stain or distress new lumber and sell it as reclaimed. We can tell you where a given lot came from, and we'll show you the actual material instead of a photo of somebody else's job.
Material only: work with us directly — visit the yard in Jackson or call.
Installed work: we generally work under a general contractor, since it has to be coordinated against every other trade, permits, and schedule. If you're early and don't have a builder yet, we'll point you toward GCs in the valley who do this kind of work well.
Architects and designers: we work with you directly at the specification stage, before a GC is on board.
